While hack day @ #IndieWebCampLA is going on, taking some time to finally begin redesign of my blog. Looking forward to demos later.
Weird, @jekyllrb builds taking almost 2x/3x to build in v3.3 Testing another build/deploy now to confirm extended times.
If I ever open a beach bar, I’m going to call it “Shelter in Place”
Reading @TropicalTidbits and thinking about hand tracking storms as a kid on a little map from NHC given out at grocery stores
Mock stickers in Messages all you want, but I just started playing chess again through it and it’s bloody brilliant.

Guess I’m dusting off my rusty js skills this week to incorporate selectize with CMB2 unless @Jtsternberg knows of an implementation already
Two different code editors, both using phpcs, supposedly using same standards, giving different results. Shouldn’t be this difficult.
Between all the geckos and now little frogs my back porch is like a Herpetarium. And it’s awesome.
Any macOS app I’ve touched that uses Electron as foundation is completely hosed in my dev environment. Atom/VS Code and beta Slack so far.
I hope to live to see the day @AtomEditor doesn’t throw an “Editor is not responding” when I try to close a window.
Leaving this here for future reference. Turn on debug menu in Mac App Store defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
After a marathon day of deep dive into Hubot, node and coffee script I have a running bot in IRC with my first custom script.
Taking suggestions for an IRC bot name for the #habari channel. My first foray into bots, trying out hubot w/heroku.
Why is Mail always the ugly step child of macOS? It’s not like they did a complete overhaul in Sierra. Hell, can’t tell anything changed.
@Konzertheld perhaps. Any suggestions on where I might do that 😉
Not sure what it says about my coding, but there is a special feeling doing something that doesn’t involve copying a Stack Overflow answer.
Consider this my successful unmanned #indieweb note. Automated u-syndication links to static Jekyll notes from brid.gy. Kludgy but working.
tfw you’re not exactly sure which part of the code isn’t working. #hackityhackhack
Now to just see why data file isn’t being created. Sorry to anyone who thinks I’m spamming timeline. All in the name of indie publishing!!
There is probably a better way to test than live tweeting, but ¯(ツ)/¯
With all of my testing today, this is a reminder to self to add a 404 page. Any suggestions for something epic-ish?
Hello #indiewebcamp hack day. Looking forward to seeing what everyone is building. This is part of a test from an undisclosed location 🙂
Nothing to see here. Move along. (I really need better content for live testing.)
Firing stage 2 rockets for u-syndication links for notes on static Jekyll site.

Impressed with v1 of Jekyll Admin, a GUI for writing/editing posts locally. https://github.com/jekyll/jekyll-admin Looking forward to expansion of API
I think the question should be less why do pull quotes exist, but why are sites lazy in their implementation. There are already solutions to only show the quote once, both with just HTML/CSS and javascript. I’m sure other solutions could be found.
Say what you will about #Florida, but it’s flat out beautiful if you get outdoors.
