Why in the hell can I be logged into GitHub in one Safari tab, open a private window to login with another account and it knows I’m logged in?

tried to replicate with Chrome, did not happen. so maybe Safari-specific?

Probably. I was actually logging into the same account, but a private window should not know I’m logged in anywhere else no matter what. If I wasn’t having fun debugging IE 11 js, I’d investigate more.
